Ingredients :

  • 1 cup whole grain teff
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups almond milk
  • 1 banana (sliced)
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 apple (cubed)
  • 1 tbsp butter (melted)
  • ¼ cups chopped almonds
  • 12 mejdool date (pitted and chopped)
  • Directions :

    1. Combine the teff, milk, cinnamon, salt and butter in a heavy sauce pan.
    2. Bring mixture to a boil over medium to high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer mixture for about 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
    3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir thoroughly.
    4. Serve into bowls and top with sliced banana, apple and dates.
